The biggest movie of the year is finally here, and rightfully so! There has been so much hype surrounding "Spider-Man: No Way Home", and let me just tell you THE HYPE IS LEGIT👏👏
I really enjoyed both "Spider-Man: Homecoming", + "Spider-Man: Far From Home", which both (and more) have somewhat led to the event that is "Spider-Man: No Way Home". In my opinion "No Way Home" is the boldest, and strongest plot wise of the three!
Picking up the literal second where "Spider - Man: Far From Home" left off, our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man's identity, Peter Parker (played by Tom Holland) has been revealed to the entire world, after being framed for the death of Mysterio back in Europe. Fortunately, Peter is able to get the charges dropped, but his identity is still out there for all the world to know! Peter, his girlfriend MJ (played by Zendaya), and best friend Ned (played by Jacob Batalon) struggle with the negative attention as they begin their senior year of high school, and make a plan to hopefully all go to college at MIT in Boston, MA together. As Peter begins to realize MJ, and Ned's association with him is affecting the decisions on college acceptance letters, he makes a visit to see a familiar friend, Doctor Steven Strange (played by Benedict Cumberbatch) whom he asks to cast a spell so that everyone will forget his true identity. However Peter makes a bit of a mess as he interrupts Doctor Strange (multiple times) while he's trying to cast the spell, to let him know that he still wants MJ, Ned, his Aunt May (played by Marisa Tomei), and Happy Hogan (the head of security at "Stark Industries", played by Jon Favreau) to remember. Yeah, low and behold that spell did not work! While everything seems fine at first, Peter begins to get some visitors (who know his name, but he's never met)😉 Doctor Strange later reveals to Peter that his botched spell has begun to bring people from different universes who know Peter Parker is Spider-Man into their's😱 For the safety of not revealing any spoilers, I won't continue to go into anymore detail of the plot🙂
I work for a small, local movie theater, and part of my job is to screen the new movie's by myself before we show them to the public. I had the pleasure of viewing this epic film twice today...once by myself this morning, and once with a sold out audience this afternoon! I was filled with so much joy hearing the reactions of the audience throughout...that is what going to a movie at the theater is all about😄🎬💚 I believe that fans, and audiences will be highly satisfied & fulfilled with what takes place.
While the film of course features some awesome action, and is filled with all kinds of surprises at every turn, "Spider-Man: No Way Home" also hits hard in the emotional department! Tom Holland just keeps continuing to impress with his performances as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, and here he really gets ya in the feels with the emotion.
As I mentioned multiple times already, there are plenty of surprises all throughout the movie, but one of the most unexpected surprises comes after the end credits are finished rolling. If you know Marvel movies, you know that you always stay through the credits to see an extra scene that teases an upcoming movie...well let's just say the surprise is a bit more than a "scene"😉
Consensus: "Spider-Man: No Way Home" features Tom Holland's boldest performance as Peter Parker yet! A satisfying event for fans and audiences, with surprises galore, + emotional, fulfilling moments😄🕷🕸🎬💙❤️
