Family-Friendly Freaky Fridays: Ray J's Review - "Mickey's House Of Villains"

Good morning everyone! For this week's "Family-Friendly Freaky Friday" I am taking a look at the 2002 direct to home video Disney animated special, "Mickey's House Of Villains"🎬🤔 Unfortunately, I don't have much to say🤷‍♂️

"Mickey's House Of Villains" is based off of the animated TV series "Mickey's House of Mouse" from the early 2000's, and see's plenty of classic Disney villains show up at the House of Mouse on Halloween night🎃👻 Surprisingly all is going well while Mickey does his thing of showing spooky Disney animated shorts (featuring characters we all know, and love), that is until midnight strikes, and Jafar (from Disney's Aladdin) decides to pull a little trick, which turns the "House of Mouse" into the "House of Villains"!

To be quite honest, I really didn't see the point in this 🤷‍♂️🤔 There are about six or seven Disney shorts (classic, and newer) in this special, that range from about five to eight minutes. It isn't until about the last twenty minutes of this one hour and eight minute special that the villains actually take center stage...only to sing a really short song....and play more shorts😂

I'll admit the shorts were decent, and I appreciated them (especially the classic ones), but the villains are criminally underused considering the title. I just feel like this is a bit of a waste of time to watch...especially for the price! This special isn't streaming anywhere, but it is available to purchase for $17.99🤦‍♂️

Consensus: I am a huge Disney fan, but I was disappointed with "Mickey's House of Villains"😕 The villains are barely there, but the shorts are decent🙂 Unless it eventually becomes available to stream somewhere, I don't recommend purchasing it for the price...it's just not worth it! Some of the shorts featured in this special are available to stream on Disney + (if you have it). I know that for a fact!
