February Funnies 😂🎬 Ray J's Review "Scary Movie"

WAAAASSSSUPPP😂🎬 It's time for some more February Funnies, and this week I am reviewing the iconic Y2K comedy/parody film "Scary Movie"👻🤣

"Scary Movie" (which spawned 4 sequels, and a variety of early to mid 2000's parody films) pokes fun at horror movie tropes, in stupidly-hilarious, and raunchy fashion😂 The film follows the incredibly ditzy Cindy Campbell (played by Anna Faris), her boyfriend Jon Abrahams (played by Bobby Prinze), and her ratchet group of friends, Brenda Meeks (played by Regina Hall), Shorty Meeks (played by Marlon Wayans), Ray Wilkins (played by Shawn Wayans), Greg Phillipe (played by Lochlyn Monroe), and Buffy Gilmore (played by Shannon Elizabeth) as they are tormented by a killer who is just as dumb as they are!

Primarily parodying the "Scream" franchise and "I Know What You Did Last Summer", there are also hilarious references to "Halloween", "The Blair Witch Project", "The Sixth Sense", and more!

It's most likely that these kind of movies aren't for everyone, but for me they were a huge part of my youth🎬😂 So freaking funny & self aware, even going as far as combining character & actor names from the movies being parodied to create the characters names featured here!

Also: Brenda Meeks > all other characters! She needed her own movie😂🤣😂

While the humor can definitely be overly raunchy at times, a good portion of it is so on point, and the shock factor is to die for (pun intended)!

Nowadays more than ever, we should take appreciation in these movies, since it's more than likely these kind of films will never be made again! If a movie like this was made today, *some* people, (and by some people I mean the annoying a** woke) would throw a hissy fit since they can't take joke, and take offense to everything, which is why movie studios simply don't take the risk🙄😩

Consensus: Sure it's not for all, but "Scary Movie" has its audience, and I am that audience....perfectly poking fun at the stupidity of horror movie characters & filled with outrageous, but rightfully hilarious moments that that the internet would have a fit about today...so that's a win in more ways than one in my mind😂😏🎬👻
