Good morning everyone! HAPPY DECEMBER🙌💚❤️🎄 I am giving you next week's "Have Yourself A Merry Little Monday" review early🙂

Today I am unwrapping the just released "Zoey's Extraordinary Christmas"....a Christmas film continuation of the TV series "Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist" (which was sadly, and wrongly cancelled by NBC earlier this year in this dated age of cable TV ratings). I have adored "Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist" from the very beginning, and was so frustrated when it was cancelled after it's second season. However, due to much thanks, and devotion from the show's many fans (I like to think myself as a small part) we are so very grateful to Roku, and the Roku Channel for granting us with the delightful return of Zoey this holiday season🙏 The best part is, as of right now, December 1st, 2021, you can watch both seasons 1 & 2 of "Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist" + the "Zoey's Extraordinary Christmas" movie FOR FREE on https://therokuchannel.roku.com/ !! No sign up, or subscription required! I highly recommend💚

**WARNING: My review may contain spoilers in regards to the first two seasons of the "Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist" television series. IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO BE SPOILED, please turn back now, or come back after viewing the series or film**

Before I get into my review, let me just give you a little bit of a background about "Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist", with NO BIG SPOILERS...you're safe for now.

A professional coder named Zoey Clarke (played by the fantastic Jane Levy) is just trying to get through her workdays at the insanely cool tech company "SPRQPOINT", but of course home worries always loom. Her Dad, Mitch (played by Peter Gallagher) was diagnosed with a disease called PSP (which made him lose his ability to talk, and swallow solid foods). With his health decreasing, Zoey is STRESSED, (with headaches galore), she decides to go get an MRI, but the universe has something up it's sleeve. While in the MRI machine, music is blasting in the room to *calm nerves*, but then to her surprise an earthquake occurs, and on her way home she soon discovers that she has an ability to hear people's inner most thoughts through the message carrier of various popular songs! While Zoey is completely freaked out about her new found superpowers, she gets by with the hilarious & friendly advice of her apartment neighbor, Mo (played phenomenally by Alex Newell), and her then co-worker/romantic flame, Max (played by Skylar Astin), plus her incredibly supportive family, Mom, Maggie (played warmly by Mary Steenburgen), brother David (played by Andrew Leeds), and Sister In Law, Emily (played by Alice Lee, who surprises with a knock out performance here and there). If you want to just jump straight into the movie, there is a really well done, and thorough recap of season's one and two of the show at the beginning, but BEWARE OF SPOILERS as there are a plenty!

"Zoey's Extraordinary Christmas" picks up two weeks, after that cliffhanger of a season two finale! 🎵It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year🎵 and also Zoey's family's first Christmas since the death of her father😔 She just wants everything to be as normal as possible, but when she learns that her family plans to go separate ways for the holiday, that stirs up some 🎵Bad Blood🎵. With the help of her now boyfriend, Max, Zoey is able to persuade her family to stay home for Christmas, but she soon learns that the universe is trying to mess with her perfect Mitch Christmas, (or maybe, just maybe, it's trying to teach her a valuable lesson, as always)🙂

If you don't know by now, I love most any kind of visual media, that's musical😄 As a huge fan of the "Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist" series, which I firmly believe is an absolute de-light in this dark world, I was thoroughly thrilled with the "Zoey's Extraordinary Christmas" movie, and I'm so thankful that Roku, and the Roku Channel gave us more, even if this REALLY is the end now

(you never know though..from what I hear, there is always a chance that more could come under the right circumstances)🤞

Something that I loved about the movie, and I've always loved about the show, is that there is always some kind of topic you can relate to. For example in the movie, Zoey was not happy with her family members wanting to go away for Christmas after a stressful year, and I will admit that topic really hit home for me😅 Not that my year has been super stressful, but sometimes one's self can learn a lesson or two personally from entertainment😂 "The universe" wants Zoey to move forward, but she gets hung up on certain things, and while her family is of course disappointed they didn't go to Hawaii, or else where, they stayed back because they knew how much it meant to Zoey. In the meantime Zoey learns that over the years things may change, but you can make your own traditions, and the best of things❤️💚🎵🎄

Of course you can't have Zoey without "Heart Song's"💚❤️🎵 While the film does feature quite a few Christmas songs ("It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year," "We Need A Little Christmas", "Mele Kalikimaka" "Underneath The Tree" "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas", and "That's What Christmas Means To Me"), there are also a few other (non) Christmas tunes mixed in (Taylor Swift's "Bad Blood", Motley Crue's "Home Sweet Home", Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe" Grover Washington's "Just The Two Of Us", Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here", and Cyndi Lauper's "Time After Time").

Consensus: There will be cheer, plenty of heart songs, (and probably...nope, definitely a few tears) for fans of the "Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist" tv series, in this wholesome and extremely well done "Extraordinary Christmas" film😁😢🎄🎵💚❤️
