Good morning everyone, and welcome to another installment of my "Have Yourself A Merry Little Monday" Christmas movie review series😄💚❤️🎬🎄🎅🌟✨ I apologize for the last minute change in plans, but to make things easier on me, (since time can be tight around the holidays) I have decided to review the 2012 made for TV film "The Mistle-Tones: A Musical", (in place of "Ernest Saves Christmas") 😄🎶🎄🎬🌟 Definitely a light & cheesy, but fun movie that shares some similarities to "Pitch Perfect" (which is one of my all time favorite movies)! Of course The Mistle-Tones are lightyears away from being The Bellas of "Pitch Perfect."..and also they don't have a Fat Amy😂🤷‍♂️

Holly (played by Tia Mowry) has been long awaiting for a vacant spot to open in the local Christmas music group, The Snow-Belles (which were founded by her late mother). After "sleighing" her audition for the current members of the group, including the "ugh, so snooty" Marci (played by Tori Spelling), she impatiently awaits for their decision. Like most snooty people, Marci bases her decision off of her jealousy of Holly's talent, and rejects her from joining The Snow-Belles. Gutted by the news, she receives the advice to why not just create her own Christmas music group, The Mistle-Tones. Easily enough though, she finds the talent for her new group within her place of work...and some of that talent comes as quite the surprise in more ways than one! Now, Holly and The Mistle-Tones prepare for the fight of their lives, as they find themselves up against the Snow-Belles, and dozens of other music groups in auditioning to headline a Christmas Day concert at the local mall.

"The Mistle-Tones: A Musical" is joyful & mindless made for TV fun. That's the best way for me to describe it! I'm honestly surprised I haven't seen this up until now, because it's right up my alley🎶😂 I also liked the twist in plot about a half hour in, between Holly and her supervisor, Nick (played by Johnathan Patrick Moore), which I won't spoil in case you haven't seen the movie, but I'll just say it all begins with an Elvis Presley song.

The soundtrack is pretty fun as well, filled with Christmas covers, and medley's galore🎶🎄

Consensus: "The Mistle-Tones: A Musical" isn't anything special or unique, but I can't deny that it isn't a fun time🎶🌟🎄 If you need a break from watching The Grinch, Home Alone, etc, then this is a campy breath of air🙂

"The Mistle-Tones: A Musical" is streaming with subscription on Disney +and Hulu

The Ray J's Reviews rating is:

3.5 out of 5 sprinkles of merry for your Monday 💚❤️✨&1/2
