NOT MY ADDAMS FAMILY! Ray J's Review - "The Addams Family 2"

I will admit off the bat, I was not the biggest fan of the first animated "Addams Family" film, (released back in 2019), however after a few watches it did grow on me ever so slightly! Unfortunately, I'm not sure "The Addams Family 2" will have that same effect! This sequel seemed like a rushed, and lazy cash grab, plus at times seemed too far out there, even for this creepy, kooky, mysterious, and spooky fam😕

"The Addams Family 2" sends the Addams off on a family road trip across America (in a hearse camper and all) after Morticia (voiced by Charlize Theron), and Gomez (voiced by Oscar Isaac) start to realize that the kids, Wednesday (voiced by Chloe-Grace Moretz), and Pugsley (voiced by Javon Walton) are wanting to have less and less to do with them! Been there? Seen this plot right? Right! Well kinda! Due to some events that occurred before the Addams's left for their trip, and a revelation that comes to light while on the road, if Wednesday is really...well...an Addams😬

While I will admit that some of the humor here and there could result in some good belly shaking, overall I hate to report that I was pretty disappointed with "The Addams Family 2".

The film may suffice for some kids, but in my opinion this sequel's plot is as thin as can be, and that's not saying much compared to the first film, which was mediocre in itself. It does have that dark, yet family-friendly humor that really does genuinely work at times, but there are also many other times when the humor comes off as very corny and like try hard puns😳

I would say if the kids are interested in seeing "The Addams Family 2", take them to see it! It's always good to continue to support movie theaters🙂! The movie is very short, with a run-time at just under an hour and a half.
