“The Mitchell’s vs The Machines”, is an animated masterpiece to behold! This carefully made film is not only an energetic, and hilarious blast, but is also a meaningful, and at times relatable one as well😄💚🎬 I can’t even begin to tell you all how much I enjoyed it!

The film revolves around “The Mitchell" family (obviously) . The daughter Katie (voiced by Abbi Jacobson) is the main protagonist, and then you also have the Dad, Rick (voiced by Danny McBride), the Mom, Linda (voiced by Maya Rudolph), the son/little brother Aaron (voiced by Michael Rianda), and of course we can’t forget the family’s hilarious cross-eyed pug dog, Monchi (in which viral sensation Doug The Pug is actually credited). Katie, who has a passion in film making is about to leave for college in California to major in it, and has felt misunderstood by her family for most of her life...she is so ready to leave the nest! As with most families nowadays we are all disconnected from time to time, and tend to be on our electronic devices. The Mitchell’s are quite disconnected themselves. Rick thinks Katie could be wasting her time with film making as a career, and is worried she will fail. After an argument in regards to having a normal family discussion while not being on devices, Rick decides to gather up the family for a road trip to California to drop off Katie at college, cancelling her flight, so they can attempt to re-connect as a family one last time for a while. Everything is going fine at first with The Mitchell’s on their trip, but meanwhile at “Pal Inc” (the Apple Inc of the movie), CEO, Mark Bowman (voiced by Eric Andre) is revealing their new upgrade called “Pal Max” which is basically a robot that will do everything for you, because people are lazy as heck these days😂💁‍♂️(You know it's true). Let’s just say that the former version of “Pal” (voiced by Olivia Coleman) is not too thrilled about this massive upgrade (think of Siri staging an uprising), and flips the switch on the robots for them to kidnap all humans in the world, put them in these pod like ships, so they can be shot up to space. FOREVER! So that electronics can start a new happy life on earth😂 Now back to “The Mitchell’s”....during a disappointing stop on their trip, they get caught up in an attack by the “Pal Max’s”, but thankfully are the only ones to escape! Can this dysfunctional family take down these devious electronics, and maybe in the mean time find time to re-connect? I beg you to check this film out! You won’t regret it!

“The Mitchell’s Vs. The Machines” offers something for the entire family that I think everyone can relate to💚🙂

The animation style is absolutely superb, and at times is just outright creative! Featuring a witty & super funny script, the film is put out by Sony Animation and produced by Phil Lord + Christopher Miller, who also produced “Spider-Man: Into The Spiderverse” (another masterpiece by the way, if you haven't seen it).

The entire voice cast does a fantastic job, and I give props to them all! In addition to the voices of The Mitchell’s, one voice that really stood out to me was Olivia Coleman (who is the voice of the original version of “Pal”) She is excellent, and also so very funny😂🤣📱

Now this is just something that I personally, particularly enjoyed, but I thought the film had some really fun/nostalgic music featured throughout, such as “Live Your Life” by T.I & Rihanna, “Walk The Dinosaur” by Was (Was Not), and more!

This is a perfect film for the entire family, and I think all who are viewing will appreciate it! It is entertaining enough for kids, relatable, + hilarious enough for the adults😄

Consensus: "The Mitchells vs. The Machines" is animation perfection⭐️ Relatable on so many levels, with a freaking hilarious and witty script. If you're gonna root for an animated film at the Oscar's this year, root for The Mitchell's😄🤖🤖📱🎥💚🎬 My favorite movie of 2021!
