Good morning everyone🙂🎬 So, I'm gonna try out something a bit different this weekend! As most of us know (we're all human), and sometimes life can get overwhelming...well for those moments when I feel like I don't have the energy or time to jot down a full, in depth review...voila the "Ray J's Mini Review" you will have! Don't worry though, I still plan to write full length movie reviews when I have the time, and energy😄🎬💚

Today I will treating you all to 2 mini reviews, and first up is "Moonfall", which is, um, a disaster in itself unfortunately😳😬🌖

"Moonfall" stars Halle Berry, Patrick Wilson, John Bradley, Charlie Plummer, Michael Pena, and Donald Sutherland. In the film, a conspiracy theorist named KC (played by John Bradley) makes the astounding discovery that the moon is made up of an A.I. (Artificial Intelligence) infrastructure, and that it is no longer in orbit - headed towards earth. As earth shattering disasters begin to take place, Berry, Wilson, and Bradley's character's (Jo, Brian, and KC) launch into space with a device that can hopefully destroy the the dangerous black swarms that the moon has been spewing, and are now making their way towards our planet!

I will admit I went into this movie with an open mind, as I always do, because I honestly thought it looked like corny fun, from the trailer.

Oh my! Was I wrong!

The first of this movie's many issues is that it starts out extremely slow. While it does pick up towards the middle of the movie, and definitely in the final act, it is too late by then as this flick's other issues completely destroy it! The special effects are absolutely awful in areas, and the script/dialogue is just painful🤦‍♂️ I can't even count how many times I heard the same line "Hold On" in a perilous moment...via car chase, or space shuttle launch😂

There are ways to make these kinds of movies without the script being as dumb as the decisions made. As I mentioned above, I really thought the effects brought this movie down quality wise for me too...they were absolutely BEYOND sub-par!

Consensus: Screw the moon! "Moonfall" is an absolute disaster, literally! Go watch "San Andreas" again!

The Ray J's Review's rating is:

1 & 1/2 out of 5 lime green hearts
