"For one priceless moment in the whole history of man, all the people on the earth are truly one"

Howdy my movie lovin' pals! Today I present to you my review for my favorite movie of the year so far! The 1960's took place about 30 years before I was born, but man did this film put me in a nostalgic high!!

"Apollo 10 1/2: A Space Age Childhood" centers around a boy named Stanley (voiced by Milo Coy) and is heavily narrated by actor Jack Black (as the grown up version of the main character Stanley), remisniscing his fantastical childhood memories of the summer of 1969 - living in Houston, Texas when the first moon landing ever took place.

I don't wanna give away too much about this movie because it is an absolute treat, but I will say that "Apollo 10 1/2: A Space Age Childhood" is a refreshingly nostalgic flight into the suburbs of late 1960's Houston! Adults (maybe more than others of a certain age) will have memories brought back, while younger viewers may just learn a history lesson or two🚀🇺🇸😄🌕

In case you haven't figured it out yet, I absolutely loved this movie! I will admit that Jack Black's narration can seem a bit too much at times, but you get used to it after a while. The entire movie isn't narrated, but it does go back and forth quite a bit. That's really my only complaint. I have to say Jack Black truly was the perfect choice for narrating, and his voice fits right in with that time period.

It's extremely nostalgia heavy, but in my opinion that's one of the best parts about this flick! I loved all of the call backs to classic tv shows and movies, and what life was like in the modern home back then!

The voice acting performances are all very well done, but I thought that Lee Eddy (who voices "Mom") is definitely a standout😄👍👍

Just and FYI: This film is rated PG-13, but it's more to do with the fact that there is some mild language featured throughout, as well as some bloody historical images (all animated of course).

Consensus: One of the best movies of the year thus far - "Apollo 10 1/2: A Space Age Childhood" is a fantasy mashup of nostalgia and history presented in all the right ways - and the best part - it's animated😄🇺🇸🚀🌕
