Happy Monday everyone🙂 With Easter coming up this Sunday, I wanted to share my review of a movie you've probably never heard of, but should definitely consider adding to your spring time watch list! The 2019 musical film "Bright Ones" - a film by Bethel Music.
"Bright Ones" is a brisk, and energetic watch, about a group of talented students at a performing arts school, featuring an inspiring message about what makes each of them individually shine✝️🌟 The film plays out the stories of these talented young tweens in chapters, including Jay (played by Peyton Allen), Claudia (played by Josie Buchanan), Mia (played by Chloe Elizabeth Vassallo), Kira (played by Sydney Allen), DJ (played by Asher Farrow), and D2 "Douglas" (played by Christian Allen), during their auditions for the performing arts school, as well as the revelations that are made during upcoming preparations for the musical showcase they are about to put on.
Featuring professional music video style cinematography , excellent faith based Pop/EDM hybrid tracks, mixed together with a easy to digest inspiring story, makes this my recommendation for the perfect family film to watch the weekend of Easter, or any time really😄🎬
This film isn't something we haven't seen time and time before, HOWEVER, the excellent music, and cinematography really make this flick feel especially...well...bright!
Fun fact: The Bright Ones are also a real life music group put together by Bethel Music, and comprised of the actors/singers that make up the characters in this film.
"Bright Ones' is available to rent or purchase on digital entertainment services, such as iTunes, Google Play, Amazon, etc.
I also highly recommend the soundtrack, with my top tracks being: 1. We Dance 2. No Longer Slaves 3. Get Your Hopes Up
Consensus: Even though "Bright Ones" is your pretty standard performing arts school tale, this energetic song & dance filled faith based feature is suitable for the entire family, plus the soundtrack is an absolute delight!!
