Good morning everyone😄🎬💚 Today I have a brand new review for you all of the romantic comedy "Marry Me" starring Jennifer Lopez, Owen Wilson, Maluma, Sarah Silverman, John Bradley and more!

The film follows one of the world's hottest, and successful artists, Kat Valdez (played by Jennifer Lopez) who is busy rehearsing and preparing for an upcoming sold out concert where she, and her fiancé, Bastian (played by Maluma), also a worldwide renowned artist are set to perform, and exchange nuptials to their hit single "Marry Me". Meanwhile, everyday math teacher, Charlie Gilbert (played by Owen Wilson), is trying to get his self conscious daughter, Lou (played by Chloe Coleman) used to her new school, where he teaches as well. Trying to get Charlie out of his shell, his good friend Parker (played by Sarah Silverman) - also the hilarious guidance counselor at the school - convinces him and Lou to join her at the Kat Valdez & Bastian "Marry Me" concert. Well, let's just say it is going to be a night that will change his life forever! The big night is here, Kat is slaying on stage. After introducing Bastian on stage so she can go change into her wedding dress, Kat can just feel that something is off...everyone is on their phones, and acting awkward. Well, that little bast*** Bastian was caught cheating with one of Kat's assistant's in a leaked video to news outlet "Page Six". Her stomach sinking, Kat does what any good performer would do, and goes back out on stage, but she cannot let Bastian get away with what he has done. Calling her nuptials to Bastian off in front of millions of people live streaming, and thousands in the audience, Kat decides that the show must go on and points to a random man in the audience holding a sign that reads "Marry Me", responding "Yes, I'll marry you". Well, that random man, just happened to be holding a sign for his friend Parker, and that man just happens to be Charlie Gilbert. Not knowing how to react at first, Charlie (ultimately feeling bad for Kat) gets on stage, and they exchange nuptials. AND THE INTERNET GOES NUTS! "WTF JUST HAPPENED"? Needing some time to think, Kat and Charlie are privately escorted to their repective residences, and not much is said in transit. Kat's manager, Colin (played by John Bradley) suggests that they offer Charlie a large sum of money and move on, but Kat has other thoughts. She wants to see where this could go, and announces the crazy idea "or I could just stay married to him". In two very different worlds colliding, Kat introduces Charlie to her complicated life, and vice versa. As it always is with these types of movies, these two goodhearted people from opposite sides of the stage, may just learn a thing ot two, that could eventually become more than a thing or two🙂

In case you all don't know me by now, I am a sucker for most any movie with music performances in it. While "Marry Me" is definitely predictable, and doesn't bring anything new to the table, this is a very enjoyable film where Jennifer Lopez seems right at home😄🎶

I personally appreciated some of the fame related topics that this film covered, such as how social media is a huge and RIDICULOUSlY WEIRD part of the way celebrities promote themselves nowadays. Like, how can you feel normal about yourself when you have a team of multiple people live stream your life all day, and have someone film you professionally for vlog views on a YouTube channel🤦‍♂️😅

I also really loved the music! Of course, it's pretty basic modern pop music, but there is some also latin flavor to a good portion of the tracks. THE BEST song though comes in at about 15-20 minutes, and is called "Church". It's a pop-gospel banger that is as catchy as Tyler Perry's Madea saying "Hallellujer", and the performance is one of the absolute best scenes in the film🙌

Consensus: "Marry Me": while it's not gonna turn any heads, Jennifer Lopez seems right at home making her way through a soundtrack of bop on top of bop. Owen Wilson is too a delight!
