I was in absolute awe while watching Walt Disney Animation’s “Raya and The Last Dragon” 🤯 Not only is this film one of Disney’s most breathtakingly realistic animated features in recent years, but it is also an emotional, and exciting journey from beginning to end! There was one point towards the final act where the animation was just absolutely jaw dropping, and that combined with the background music score gave me absolute goosebumps😍 The flick features a timely themed story, exciting action, and fun characters that adults, and kids will both enjoy! The con-baby though😂

"Raya and The Last Dragon" revolves around the world of Kumandra. A world in which there are 5 different lands/tribes, where humans and dragons once lived together in harmony. When a sinister, dark force called the Druun began turning the humans into stone, and destroying the lands, the dragons sacrificed themselves, and left an orb of their powers to save humanity, and to keep them safe in the future. Flash forward 500 years, we meet a young Raya (voiced by Kelly Marie Tran), and learn that the 5 lands/tribes, consisting of Fang, Tail, Spine, Talon, and Heart - (Raya’s home, and the land in which the dragon’s power orb is kept safe), continue to fight over where the power orb should reside. Low and behold, all of the fighting, and lack of trust leads to an incident in which the Orb is broken, and each land steals a piece. Flash forward another six years, and Raya finds herself searching for the supposed last surviving dragon “Sisu” (voiced by Awkwafina), who she hopes can help her retrieve the shattered pieces of the orb back from the lands, and make it whole once again. Join Raya, and Sisu, on their exciting, dangerous, and action packed journey. I promise you won’t regret it!

"Raya and The Last Dragon" is just incredible, and the animation is beyond realistic!

The film has an eerily timely story of a broken world, and a strong message of putting your trust in others in hopes of making things better! Even Raya, who at many times preaches about trust, has an issue trusting at one point, and a real consequence ensues. It was awesome because all of the main characters have lessons learned for themselves.

I thought all of the voice acting performances in this film were top notch, especially from the two main leads Kelly Marie Tran (as the voice of Raya), and Awkwafina (as the voice of Sisu the dragon)

Consensus: Timely messages, emotionally invested voice acting, and some of the most action packed realistic animation I've ever seen make Raya and The Last Dragon a MUST WATCH!!
