Hey everyone😄🎬 This evening I am sharing with you all my review of the latest film from Dreamworks Animation, "The Bad Guys"!

Based off of the popular children's book series of the same name, "The Bad Guys", takes place in Los Angeles, California, and revolves around a group of slick thieves....animal thieves that is....Mr. Wolf (voiced by Sam Rockwell), Mr. Snake (voiced by Marc Maron), Mr. Piranha (voiced by Anthony Ramos), Ms. Tarantula (voiced by Awkwafina), and Mr. Shark (voiced by Craig Robinson). The group are about to embark on their greatest heist yet, and attempt to steal the prestigious Golden Dolphin award. The award is set to be handed out to a philanthropic Guinea Pig named Professor Marmalade (voiced by Richard Ayoade), by the governor, a red fox named Dianne (voice by Zazie Beetz) during a "Good Deeds Gala". In the midst of their high stakes heist, Mr. Wolf 'accidentally' saves an old lady from falling down the stairs (giving him that fuzzy feeling you get when someone thanks you for being kind) throwing his concentration off big time! Although Mr. Wolf and the rest of the Bad Guys crew succeed with swiping the Green Dolphin Award, Wolf's feelings get the best of him which leads to them being caught just before they are able to exit the doors of the gala😬 Just when you think they are about to be locked up for good, Professor Marmalade, who is known for seeing situations in a different light, speaks up and pleas for them to be granted another chance in hopes that he can teach them to better their ways. Mr. Wolf seems to have no problem with that, but as for the others, it may take a bit more effort.

Ok...so I will start off by saying that "The Bad Guys" truly is a treat visually, and I love that Dreamworks has made a sudden, but striking switch in their animation style! The film features familiar messages about not judging a book by its cover, which is always important to hear. Even though I felt like the movie didn't completely pull me in attention wise as far as the story goes, overall it's a fun time with humor and action that should entertain the kiddos🙂

Also be on the look out for not one, not two, BUT THREE different plot twists!

I thought that the voice acting here was excellent. It was such a surprise delight to hear Alex Borstein's voice as the chief of police office, Misty. I've always enjoyed her voice work, and her personality as an actor. I also have to give props to Zazie Beetz and Anthony Ramos, who both voiced their character's fantastically too!

Consensus: Even though "The Bad Guys" didn't fully steal my heart, the fresh animation style switch from Dreamworks is worth it, plus it's an overall 'GOOD' time!
