Hellur & good morning everyone😄 I know it's been a bit since my last new movie review, but I'm delighted to bring you my thoughts on the return of the ICONIC Ma to the damn d-e-a!

Hallelujer! Praise him! Just two years since we thought we'd seen the last of Tyler Perry's Madea, the hilarious character is back in "A Madea Homecoming". Madea (played by Tyler Perry), and her always high as a motha brother Joe (also played by Tyler Perry) are preparing to host family for their great grandson Tim's (played by Brandon Black) college graduation. As one would come to expect from these movies, plenty of secrets, and drama are about to surface...however this time around you are in for one of the most enjoyable, fast moving, and hilarious Madea films to date😁👑

I've always enjoyed Tyler Perry as Madea, but I will admit that quite a few of his films have been hit or miss🤷‍♂️ My personal favorite (although this one may have just beaten it) is "A Madea Christmas". That one is heartwarming, thoroughly enjoyable, hilarious, Madea has a large amount of screen time, plus Larry The Cable Guy......and Kathy Najimy co-star. Some of the more recent films though (such as Boo! A Madea Halloween) while I'll admit that I enjoyed them for what they were, were just plain dumb, with incredibly annoying characters.

What I enjoyed about "A Madea Homecoming" is that while it has it's fair share of serious, and dramatic moments towards the end, there was just something about this one that did everything right! The jokes hit a mile a minute, and even the current featured social commentary was handled in a mature, yet hilarious manner. Also is looked at from two sides, which is VERY IMPORTANT!

Of course Madea does her damn thing as always, but some other character standouts: I thought Creepy Joe (No, not that creepy Joe) was particularly extra hilarious this time around , as well as Mrs. Brown (played by Brendan O' Connell) somewhat of a Mrs. Doubtfire character that I thought was a great addition....she and Madea are one fecking outrageous duo🍀🤣

Consensus: After a two year break, Tyler Perry revives his beloved character via Netflix, in one of, if not the most thoroughly enjoyable Madea films to date😄😂

P.S. You ain't ready for the end credits🤣👑🎤
