You know...I'm pretty sure there isn't a Pixar movie I don't like

(well, maybe "The Good Dinosaur"🤔🦕), although of course some I enjoy better than others. With that being said, by gosh I think "Luca" might just be one of my new Pixar favorites☺️🧜‍♂️🧜 It's a simple & sunny splash of getaway fun, set in the gorgeously animated city of Portorosso, Italy🤩☀️🌊🇮🇹

The film revolves around a young sea monster, Luca (voiced by Jacob Tremblay), whose parents restrict him from going above the surface of the water. One day while doing his daily routine of herding goat fish, Luca runs into another young sea monster, Alberto (voiced by Jack Dylan Grazer), who goes up to the surface all of the time. Stricken with curiosity of course, Luca follows him, and discovers that once they are out of the water, and dry they can transform into human boys. Totally ignoring his parents restrictions, Luca, and Alberto begin to form a friendship on land, & decide to runaway to the city of Portorosso where they team up with a young human girl named Giulia (voiced by Emma Berman) for the city's annual cup triathlon, in hopes of winning enough money to buy their dream.....a Vespa😂🛵 Now all they have to do is not get wet, not get caught, AND not let Luca's parents (Daniela, voiced by Maya Rudolph, and Lorenzo, voiced by Jim Gaffigan) find them👀

I really just have to let you all know again that I thought "Luca" was absolutely splendid! It's not a film that needs to be thought to hard about, and it has such a relaxed, yet upbeat feel to it!

A perfectly fun family flick to kick off summer😄☀️🎬

Treat yo' self to a little taste of animated italy!

As far voice acting performances, I thought all of the leads were fantastic (Jacob Tremblay, Jack Dylan Grazer, and Emma Berman). I thought their voices brought something special to each of their characters, and all seemed natural & professional👏👏

Consensus: Do you and your family a favor, and take the movie getaway to Portorosso via the simply sunny "Luca"
